X+A's chapter 5

k.gif

First “Hold your temper” Alice loses her temper in the story because the Caterpillar wants to know who she is, but she doesn’t know who she is. Alice feels as though that because she’s been through a change so much even her own personality has changed so she doesn’t believe she’s still herself.

”One side makes you grow taller, the other side makes you shrink shorter”.  Alice feels as though she to short so when the Caterpillar gives her advice on how to grow/shrink she takes it. Alice eats one side and grows very tall that she’s topping the trees. When she eats the other side of the mushroom Alice shrinks to smalls. So Alice takes a lick, and what happens next is that she will grow but not to much.

Some advice I would give to Alice is that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover meaning that Alice shouldn’t judge Wonderland by their looks. I think personally that Alice doesn’t really like wonderland because it doesn’t look or feel like home.
download.pngAnother piece of advice I would give Alice is that you only live once. I think Alice doesn’t know how to live meaning sometimes just go with the flow. I understand that Alice is still a young girl who is curious, but I think she should loosen up, because this might just be for the good and not bad.

Summary

“Keep your temper” is the best advice Alice had ever got from a caterpillar. One day while Alice is walking, the Caterpillar stops Alice and tells her he has something to tell her. Alice only stops because she feels as though the advice could be useful for her. “Keep your temper” the caterpillar says. The advice comes from Alice wanting to be taller, but she doesn’t really know how to. So the Caterpillar told her that “one side makes you taller, one side makes you smaller.”  Meaning it’s a possibility that she can grow taller, or a possibility that she can shrink. Our job this chapter was to create a hornet feed to help our readers understand what’s going on in the book.

  1. i love the gifts that you used. It goes completely with the advice given from the caterpillar. Explanation made a lot of sense. Maybe next time you should focus on grammar.

  2. Based on what I have read, I really enjoyed reading your advice to Alice because I would have said something similar. Your gifs that go along with the advice is very creative and kind of amusing.
